MEALS ON WHEELS PLUS HELPS MARJORIE STAY
IN HER OWN HOME
Meet Marjorie. She has been a Meals on Wheels PLUS client for about 5 years, and says she is extremely grateful for the service. While she is always in good spirits and looks relatively healthy, her doctor has recommended that she does not drive. You see, Marjorie has a brain aneurysm that could cause devastating circumstances if it ruptures. Rather than risk injuring someone else, or putting her life at stake, Marjorie gave up her car. Caring neighbors to take her shopping for life’s little necessities. For the only hot, nutritionally monitored meal she has in a day, she relies on Meals on Wheels PLUS. Without this service, and the daily interaction with her volunteer delivery person, Marjorie would certainly not be able to continue to enjoy what little independence she still has, in the comfort of her own home.
