Volunteer Lunch Delivery Drivers Wanted
Come see why our volunteers tell us this is the best job they ever had. We need volunteers to help deliver hot meals to homebound seniors. Summer is fast approaching with many drivers heading north and planning vacations, several volunteer positions will be available.

Meals are prepared at the Meals on Wheels PLUS kitchen at 811 23rd Avenue East in Bradenton, and delivered by volunteers between 11 am and 1 pm, Monday through Friday. The time requirement for delivering meals is approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours, from one day per week up to all five days.

The Meals On Wheels Association of America recently released its annual senior hunger report and sadly, Florida is still in the "top ten" in senior hunger rates. In the past five years, the rate increased from 1 in 9 seniors to 1 in 7 seniors who are living with hunger. Please help spread the word - we can make a difference!

Together, we can provide food for the hungry, and cheer for the homebound.

Meals on Wheels PLUS operates many programs including The Food Bank of Manatee, Grandma's Goodies, Senior Wheels, Adult Day Services, and Renaissance on 9th that is home to the 9th Street Bistro, the Senior Enrichment Center, and Turner Ballroom.
